The object of the Around the World – an arcade game from the series of specialty arcade games from Playtech – is to guess the final number the wheel will stop at: whether it is lower or higher than a certain said number. The 52-section wheel the game is played on features numbering of 1 to 49, with the remaining three being used as stop sections. The fewer incorrect guesses the player has after playing the game for some time the higher the payout will be, reaching the upper limit of 105 times of the initial bet.
Each of the four separate levels featured by the game offers seven steps to pass in order to be allowed to get access to the next level. At the beginning of a level the player is shown a number, randomly drawn by the computer within the range of 1 to 49. The player is then required to guess if this number is lower or higher than the resulting number of the wheel’s next spin. In case of correct guess the player gets access to the next step; in case of incorrect guess the player earns a strike; when the player earns 3 strikes, the game restarts.
The game offers three special options: “strike removed”, “advance one step” and “Advance to the end of the level”. Being self explanatory, they allow players to remove their strikes, jump to the next step or to the end of the level respectively. In case of a push – when the end of the level is reached with no strikes earned – the player is given his/her money back. When reaching the end of level 1 with no strikes, the player gets 2.5 times of the initially placed bet. As the player proceeds through the levels, the payouts grow progressively.
