Poker Hands: All About Poker88 Strategy
Public Group active 2 years agoPoker is one of the oldest games around and is very popular in all walks of life. It is also one of the simplest. Poker is essentially a family of card games where players wager on which hand has greater odds of winning according to the rules of the game. There are many variations of poker, but basically there are three types of Poker88 poker.
Two-Handed: This style of poker is played with two decks, generally aces and kings, and involves seven cards, including three queens. The player with the highest hand usually wins the game. This is often referred to as the wild card poker or simply the draw poker. A variation of two-handed is known as full ring poker.
Full Ring Poker: This is an extremely difficult style of poker in which the players place equal bets on each of the seven cards that are dealt. Players may call and raise or fold depending on their hand. When the last card is dealt, all players have to pass a card face down from the dealer to each participant. The player with the best hand is the winner of the pot. These types of poker rooms are very challenging to win.
Bluffing Poker: Bluffing is defined as a method of playing poker where a player intends to defeat the opponent in poker without having to actually reveal his hand. It is a bluffing tool where a player intends to make a strong hand and then folds afterwards, claiming that he has a weaker hand than the opponent. It is seen more frequently in multi-table and low stakes games. If a player is skilled at bluffing, he can often defeat experienced players, particularly when the pot is small.
Pot: The amount of money a player has at the beginning of a game is called the starting pot. It is the maximum amount of money that a player can have at the beginning of the game, regardless of whether or not he has already won any chips during the game. A pot size of six or less is called a small-pot. A pot size of seven or more is known as a big-pot.
Wild Cards: A Wild Card is a card that is turned up when the deck is dealt or when the game is started. The most common Wild cards are aces, King or Queen, Jack and ten queens. In draw poker, a Wild card means that you have no cards to your hand. A player may bluff with Wild cards by having one of his seven cards revealed to the dealer before the game begins or just before the draw phase begins. Some may even bluff with Wild cards by not showing their cards at all and then betting them away. If all of the players have a hand that consists only of Wild cards, the dealer will take one card from the pot.
Forced Bets: In forced bets, a player bets the amount of the pot without having any cards in his hand. If you are involved in a forced bet and you win, you do not have to pay out of your own pocket for the entire bet. This is different from a straight flush where you would still pay out if you were wrong.
There are also some strategies for playing different poker hands. In freeroll, or betting round, you are required to raise money for all of the pot, even if you are holding a good hand. You do not need to keep raising until you have raised enough funds to take everyone to the banker. You can also bet after the flop if you have an immediate threat of taking the whole pot, but before the turn if you are confident that you do not have to raise if you win. These poker hands are very strategic and should be studied thoroughly.
